Damien’s Fish vs. Dissected Crayfish

I dissected a crayfish in secondary school and displayed it in my lunch pail for two months back in 1939.  It ended with sobbing parents and therapy sessions with the school counselor.

Damien Hirst’s “The Physical Improbability of Death in the Mind of Someone Living”  (1991) features a shark suspended in formaldehyde, was sold between 8-12 million dollars, and has become the icon of contemporary art before the economy went to shit.
